Measuring changes to residents’ travel behaviour

Measuring changes to residents’ travel behaviour

During 2012 Ansons Consulting was commissioned to design an evaluation scheme for a large-scale, residential travel behaviour change project in an English county. The solution to this complex research challenge involved the use of quasi-experimental design, which enabled the travel behaviour (and the associated impacts) of the target population to be benchmarked against that of a control group, both before and after the behaviour change intervention was carried out.
